At Empiric, we believe experience is the best teacher. We offer tutoring and mentorship from recent Horace Mann graduates who are passionate about teaching and eager to share what they know.

Our team of exceptional tutors is well-equipped to help with any topic or assignment your student might face. More importantly, though, we’re truly passionate about helping our students learn, think, and make progress in demanding academic environments.

To us, grades aren’t everything. We focus on intuitive learning: helping our students develop the necessary heuristics and techniques to solve problems and think creatively, both in high school and beyond. We founded Empiric to provide current middle and high school students with help from tutors who know the expectations at rigorous high schools better than anyone.

Our vision is to help our students develop a true love of learning. We believe in deliberate and purposeful thinking, not the mindless memorization that makes students dislike their classes.
